A New Dawn For Algeria After 20years Of President Abdelaziz
The Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika has resigned after heavily protest against his government which was increasingly seen by its youthful population as incompetent and not capable of implementing greeting needed reforms to strengthen the economy and bring about renewed prosperity for the people.
Over two decades in power yet the Algerian people have never felt they had a truly competent government that has the interest of the people. Algeria has fallen into deepening crisis.
Unemployment, corruption incompetent and heavy rivalry between and among the elite class of the Algerian society. Each section fighting each other for their personal interest which has hindered growth and development for the Algerian people. Also it has stripped the government off it’s ability to deliver for the Algerian people.
“My intention … is to contribute to calming down the souls and minds of the citizens so that they can collectively take Algeria to the better future they aspire to,” Bouteflika said in the letter to the president of the Constitutional Council.
“I have made this decision to avoid and prevent the arguments which distort, unfortunately, the current situation, and avoid its turning into serious skirmishes, to ensure the protection of persons and property,” he added.
There has been wide spread jubilation among the Algerian People about the news as they are optimistic about a new dawn for a confident glorious Algeria.
